The most famous silk is obtained from the cocoon of silkworm (silkworm mulberry). The unique special sparkling appearance of silk occurs due to its triangular prismatic features. Generally, silk is produced by several insects but most manufacturers only use moths for textile manufacturing of silk sarees.
Check some of the making processes of Silk fabrics;
- 1) The yarn is purchased by the weavers or cooperatives. It is dyed to the desired color and then the further process of wrapping starts.
- 2) Craftsman community making reed bamboo which is an important part of the loom that controls the way the thread is lifted.
- 3) After the reed is made, the silk is twisted to rent and sink in the reed slot.
